The Process
Firstly, you'll arrive at my studio and park up, and I'll welcome you into my studio. If' you've walked or come by public transport with a pram, this can be stored in my entrance area.
I'll hang your coats up, and direct you into my casting room. This is a little smaller, so if you've brought siblings they can play in my play area, while we discuss framing and mounts depending on the type of product we're creating. I'll get you to confirm everything, you'll pay final balance, then we'll make a start!

The 3D casting is a simple process and involves gently immersing each hand or foot into a thick pink liquid, that sets within 90 seconds to form a rubbery mould. This part shouldn't be uncomfortable, but babies and young children may need a little help to stay still, or ideally babies will be fast asleep or feeding. It often helps to explain the process to older children so they know what to expect before you arrive.

I use a high quality, hypoallergenic moulding powder that gives a fine cast and an excellent result, which allows us to capture all those precious minute details that you will treasure forever.

Each casting appointment will usually take between 45-60 minutes; with photo combos taking approximately 90 minutes.
If you have chosen a Photography + Casting Bundle, we will head into my studio as a family, or if it's just for baby I will wrap and pose them either with a sibling, or using my posing table and wraps. I will provide you with approx 10 images to choose from after your session.

All my frames are handmade to order for each of your chosen cast combinations. The finished piece is usually ready for collection within 4-6 weeks, and once they arrive back at my studio, I will contact you to come in and collect your frames.

My studio is based in the centre of Brighouse, just off the M62. It's bright and airy, and fully equipped with everything you'll need for a few hours out of the house; such as tea and coffee, nappies and wipes, children's films and a play area with toys and games.
You're welcome to use the lounge to occupy older siblings during sessions.
There's also a changing space for outfit swaps and the photography area has low lighting and is cosy warm, to keep your baby comfortable, and you relaxed.
There's free parking just outside, and easy access to local cafes and shops.
