My name is Maisy, and I'm an award winning photographer.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from Leeds Arts University, as well as a foundation degree in Fine Art.
I ran a successful Wedding Photography company for many years, but after had my first son I wanted to be home as much as possible so dived into a Baby Sensory Franchise. I love working with small humans and their parents, and after I had my second boy in 2018, I was given the gift of maternity leave, with time to rebrand and create my perfect business...
So, in 2019 Jupiter Moon was born.
I have taken specialist newborn posing training, paediatric first aid, a Hypnobirthing course, breastfeeding support training, and I undertake voluntary work for 'Remember My Baby.
My heart lies in working with families, supporting women in their motherhood journey, and creating memories that reflect the joy that being a parent brings. I am always busy making and creating, so my studio is filled with hand-made bonnets, headbands and knitted blankets.
I also like to collect antique children's furniture, so all of my pieces are one- offs or hand-made too!
I get so much joy from working in such a varied role, and love to see how happy my clients are when they first receive their photos. The fact that I'm able to combine many of the things I love is a bonus, and this doesn't feel like 'work' at all!'
My studio is based in the centre of Brighouse, just off the M62. It's bright and airy, and fully equipped with everything you'll need such as tea and coffee, nappies and wipes, children's books and toys.
You're welcome or use the lounge to occupy older siblings during newborn sessions, take a nap or feed in privacy. There's also a changing space for outfit swaps and the photography area has low lighting and is cosy warm, a place for you to feel relaxed.
There's free parking just on the street outside too.
